Faculty
All of the faculty of the Department of Emergency Medicine are board-certified or board-prepared in Emergency Medicine. A number of our faculty are board-certified in two specialties. In addition, all are members of our private practice group, Emergency Physicians of Tidewater, one of the country's oldest private practice Emergency Medicine groups.
The faculty provide clinical supervision at all of our training sites, providing a uniformity of supervision and the guidance of academic practitioners as well as Emergency Medicine physicians in private practice. This provides a unique opportunity to experience first-hand the different career paths available in Emergency Medicine.
